Nineteen eighty-six. All of it.
ARMAND fills the doorway, holding two coffees he has clearly been holding too long.
ARMAND
They told me this room was sealed.
DELIA
(not looking up)
They tell everyone that.
Armand sets one coffee down on a box. He does not leave.
ARMAND
You know what's in here.
DELIA
I know what isn't.
She folds the flaps back. Where two thousand pages of 1986 should be: one cassette tape, labeled in her mother's hand.
ARMAND
(quietly)
That isn't a record. That's a message.
Delia turns the cassette over. Nothing written on the B side.
DELIA
Then we need something to play it on.
Armand looks at the ceiling, at the boxes, at the door he came in through.
ARMAND
Fourth floor. Property room. It's a Tuesday.
She is already moving.
